I got to start out with a story of a day I had recently that just makes it easier to be an entrepreneur. I woke up, read my article or two, watched Casey Neistat, and hit the gym with Megin. Had good workout and some good conversation. Came home and just started rolling with finishing thing off my to do list, and allows me sometime to start planning and marketing for more weddings in Rexburg and southeast Idaho. Reached out to some of my friends that it had been while since we talked. Then sat down cranked out some videos with Bianca on Millenialpreneur’s. All and all it was a day full of positives.
Seriously, we went out to pick up a pizza and few groceries and a couple of people commented on our recent work. It's amazing to me the principle the Law of the Harvest.
What is the law of the harvest you may ask?
You see, us Idaho boy at an early age moved piped at least one summer. We get to be a part of a farmers grand production. You see it started from a seed, and grew for months with daily care into fully grow crop that is harvested and stored to sell.
How does this relate to us entrepreneurs?
Everything starts from something simple. Newton's law states an object will stay at rest until acted upon. You see, land is not a farmers field until he comes and tills and plows the land and forms a field. Then the farmer must work the topsoil before he plants his seed. Timing is everything because if he plants too soon he risks having a frost, but too late it will be too hot. You see how much work and preparation is educated in step prior to planting seed?
That's why when you get days like I was telling it means so much to you. So much work and preparation went into all those things you had go right that day. This is why success is like farming, you have to work from nothing and form habits that will secure success.
Now I'm no farmer, but I have seen and been around enough to know they is so much research, education, learning, and planning that goes into farming. That's why we as entrepreneurs must seek to research more, educate ourselves more, seek more learning from books, audiobooks, people and then plan out our goals and dreams so we have a road map to success.
No one can make you successful, you have to choose to be successful. Learn from the farmer and his lifestyle and you'll see the benefits of the law of the harvest.
