LESSONS FROM CREED
So last night I finally saw the film CREED. Okay seriously I can’t get over this film right now, it was so good. Now I am not one to write about movies and tv shows but this one I have too. We have get one thing out of the way first, NIKE you did well with product placement and your NIKE fan over here love what you did in the movie, and you made me want to buy your product.
Okay the reason Why I loved this film.
So I just want to clarify that I am not going to give any hints of the story, go watch it for yourself and I’ll come watch it with you again and again. I believe the reason why I loved this movie so much was the story. The story was amazing and there were turns all over the place in the story. Every time you thought the director was going to do what the herd of hollywood does, he would leave you on cliff hanger. I love when you are given the story “One step at a time.” Truly great story telling is told by just giving a piece of the big picture little by little and the viewer or listener has to try and figure it out.
Second, I loved how the main character Adonis Johnson is fighting myself the whole movie. See I always relate movies to myself and I get crazy emotion in movies because I try to walk in their shoes as I watch the movie. From the beginning to the end I was just so freaking stoked because this was a fight movie, but it was entrepreneur's fight to me too. The roll coaster of fighting for success and the moment you think you have it, you don’t, up and down. Seriously loved the emotional roller coaster I took through this movie. Don’t tell anyone but I got bad allergies in this movie and eyes were water at least twice, I should probably get that checked out.
Third, was just the way that this film was shot. The director Ryan Coogler is amazing. Seriously the way he was directing shots in this was amazing storytelling and how he focused shot on different part of the story. It was just freaking awesome, it’s rare to find movies with great cinema shots and just tell a kick butt story.
You know after watching this movie that had a budget of 35 million dollars, it is cool to see that the basics of good film was nailed 100% the right way. If you haven’t seen CREED, see it because there is fight in all of us. We all go through trying to live up to someone’s expectations. Whether those expectations are own, or our loved one’s. We still have to figure it out deep inside of us because we are the ones in control.
To be frank, I love a good story of a good fight! Let’s all fight the person in the mirror to strive to be a little better!
