Our drive from Olympic National Park to Nike Employee Store and Headquarters. Nike has been a big part of my life not only in shoes but in my creativity. My hopes are that one day, I can get contracted to do some video and photography work for Nike.[iframe id="https://www.youtube.com/embed/CruUIflyFig"]
We continued our adventure in Olympic by hitting Hurricane Ridge, then camping in the Hoh Rainforest the following night. Na[iframe id="https://www.youtube.com/embed/vcukHU1M1Ak"]
After leaving Alaska, we explored a bit more of Seattle before heading off to Olympic National Park. [iframe id="https://www.youtube.com/embed/nV3P71CDqZk"]
Thursday afternoon we headed North up the Glenn Highway towards Matanuska Glacier. This is one of my favorite places to visit and bring visitors!
This glacier is unique because you can walk right onto it and hike around freely! It gets a little sketchy though because it is sheer ice and there's huge crevasses everywhere.. But we made our way up the glacier and did wha we do best - take photos! Everything about the day was just incredible - the colors, the valleys, the scenery. Just breathtaking. I love fall in Alaska!!
Before flying to Alaska last week, we explored downtown Seattle while visiting with my sis who lives in the area! It was Tyler's first time in the city and my first time in almost 10 years. I wanted all the flowers at Pikes Place! But my sister is allergic, and we were flying out the next morning :( Boo.
Finding the gum wall wasn't easy, but I'm glad we did! People stick business cards and such, we came across a card with the Salt Lake Temple on it! I stuck my gum on that one.
We ended the day by watching the sunset over the skyline in West Seattle. Seattle has it's own unique personality - to me, it was sort of like a classy, more modern Alaska. Which I loved! I cannot wait to be back next week to explore more.
A big thanks to my sister Kylie to letting us stay at her place!
I think we had the most Alaskan day possible yesterday... We drove down the coast on the Seward Highway to Kenai to watch Megin's brothers play a football game. After the game, we happened upon some random caribou on the side of the road, 4 moose, a bunch of seals catching fish in the Kenai River, then the most incredible Northern Lights show when we got home. All of these things are apparently pretty rare so I think we had a lucky day! [iframe id="https://www.youtube.com/embed/MLSYFqr8qFk"]
#Day3 We left Seattle on 6 AM flight to Alaska, where we drove to Palmer where Megin grew up! #Day4 we drove to Butte to take a better look at Pioneer Peak, then drove all the way back to Matanuska Glacier. If you haven't noticed Megin and I love to drive to see new things and places, go thing Spotify never lets us down! Sorry about the Sound, I am fixing it but the internet connection is crazy slow! Haha!
After driving from Rexburg to my uncle Arland's place to crash, we adventured over to middle of nowhere in Washington to Palouse Falls. Got a little risky and took the drone out for a little flight, then drove across Washington to Seattle. Picked up Megin's sister Kylie and headed downtown! #Day1 and #Day2 of #sheareradventures [iframe id="https://www.youtube.com/embed/9-tzXp4BVOo"]
Megin and I woke up and had a plan to go to the Grand Canyon, but due to the hot weather and us not really wanting to drive 6 hour around trip we just went to the Hoover Dam. [iframe id="https://www.youtube.com/embed/2ugyVJjlajw"]
So check it, Megin has been amazing lately and has a passion for fashion. On our honeymoon here in Vegas I gave Megin a chance to chase after a dream of hers with being a fashion blogger among all the other great things that she does well. This VLog is about our third day in Vegas! Hope you enjoy! [iframe id="https://www.youtube.com/embed/o0-p-4XTYos"]
[iframe id="https://www.youtube.com/embed/UoglruFUb8o" align="center"] For Megin and I's honeymoon we drove down to Vegas. We hit up the Strip and had to stop by the Nike store, oh wait can't forget Megin is obsessed with Pairs so we took numbers of selfies and we already have plans of going to Europe next fall! Seriously can't tell you how much I love being with Megin! She is legit! Can't wait to tell you about the project she is working on, I am so proud of her!
We were hired to film a wedding in Kalispell, Montana and had blast the whole weekend!
We left Rexburg on Friday morning just in time to make the 6 and a half hour drive and shoot the wedding that afternoon. The drive was beautiful - the landscaped ranged from desert to mountains to beautiful, crystal clear lakes. Tyler worked on some commercial videos while I drove, road tripping with Tyler is one of my favorite things because of how we can goof off while still getting work done.
We got to the most beautiful wedding venue when we finally arrived in Kalispell. How cute is the love barn?! Even though it was a hot day, we loved shooting Talyssa & James' wedding and they were a beautiful couple! I can't wait to go through some of the shots we got, a demo reel from the wedding is above.
We were planning on heading to Glacier National Park the next morning, but there was a huge wildfire that caused the park to be closed down. It was a bummer, but I know we will be back soon enough!
Tyler and I have made a goal to visit the "Big 5" National Parks in Southern Utah. We began with Bryce Canyon and it dod not disappoint! My sister Kylie was visiting from Seattle and came along for the adventure. I had been to the Canyon before but never been down in the trails and seen the formations up close. They were amazing to say the least - pictures can't do it justice. I've heard people say that out of the five parks, Bryce Canyon is the prettiest. . This park set the bar high and will be a hard to beat..
What better way to spend Memorial Day than in the great outdoors with great friends?
This year we decided to celebrate the most American way we know how - Burgers hot off the grill, watching basketball, and enjoying this beautiful country we live in. We wandered up to Sawn Valley and saw Fall Creek Falls and Palisades Reservoir, and ended the day with "world famous" square ice cream. I think we found our next camping spot! Love this state we live in.
One of my favorite things about Tyler is the love of adventure we share.
I have found that Idaho has so many hidden gems that not many people know about. My goal is to find each and every one of those gems and explore it with Tyler. I have always said that everything is Alaska is so much better than Idaho, but I was wrong with Mesa Falls. It was so much better than any waterfall I have seen in Alaska! The drive up was gorgeous, it was refreshing to be in the mountains and reminded me a little bit of home. Maybe I'm not always right about everything.. maybe Idaho can have something cool too..
Five days is never enough time with the one you love most. Tyler bought a ticket to Alaska before we were even dating - I thought he was crazy. After months of long FaceTime and phone calls, I was finally able to see him again.
We adventured, we napped, we watched basketball, we rode four-wheelers, we played games with my family, we took photos, we laughed, we lost $3,000 worth of camera equipment, we had deep late-night conversations, and more importantly, we fell in love.
Even though the days went by too fast, we had the time of our lives. I was reassured that Tyler made the best adventure buddy and the we are the dream team. I am so thankful for Tyler and his leap of faith buying a ticket to visit. I can't wait to see him in April!
